Is named after sister Irene Steffan of the consolata Missionary sisters who came to Kenya 1915. Here she gave herself whole heartedly to the work of God, until she died at the age of 39 years during epidemic she met all the difficulties of life with cheerful and moral strength. The memory of her zeal obedience, humility, deeply rooted on prayer and faith is still very much alive to the present days.
